8 Alumni Who Could Have Joined Below Deck Med Season 9 As The Fourth Stew

Summary

  • The addition of Aesha Scott to Below Deck Med season 9 was much needed after a mediocre season 8.
  • Xandi Olivier, who appeared on Below Deck season 11, would have been a great choice for Below Deck Med.
  • The franchise might have considered bringing back actors like Kyle or Natalya, despite a shocking casting decision.

With Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 finally inviting a fourth stew to Mustique, many franchise alumni could have returned instead of a new addition. the ninth episode welcomed Aesha Scott to the show as Captain Sandy Yawn’s Chief Stew. He made his debut inside Below Deck franchising during Below Deck Med season 4 as a stew under Hannah Ferrier. After two successful seasons, she became a fan-favorite crew member and joined Below deck down there as Chief Stew, working alongside Captain Jason Chambers.

Aesha’s presence in the Mediterranean-based spin-off was much needed after Below Deck Med Season 8 was a disappointment. The team didn’t gel well, there was more fighting than entertainment, and the season felt overall lackluster. Fortunately, Season 9 is a big improvement over Season 8, and the show has a new team to thank for its success. The feud between Bri Muller and Elena “Ellie” Dubaich was boring but fun, a departure from the conflict of Season 8. Carrie O’Neill joined the team as a new burnout, though. the production could have hired an alumnus to replace him in the second half of the charter season.

8 Xandy Olivier

Below Deck Season 11

On the heels of his stellar performance in Below Deck season 11, Xandi Olivier could certainly have joined the crew of Below Deck Med like stew. During his first season in the franchise, she proved to be a reliable cook. Xandi befriended Chief Stew Fraser Olender early in the season. She was Fraser’s right-hand man, always willing to help him with any task. While the other crew members were causing drama with the boats and arguing with their department heads, Xandi stayed away from most of the drama.

She had never appeared on the show before season 11, but she established herself as a major burnout during her time on the show. Xandi expressed her frustrations with the crew in her confessional interviews instead of creating conflict on St. David. She did as she was told and did a great job at her duties. Xandi excelled at laundry, a skill Bri didn’t have. during Below Deck Med season 9. If the Mediterranean-set show was interested in hiring a trusty stew from the franchise, Xandi would have been a great choice, especially considering she just starred in Below Deck season 11.

7 Kyle Viljoen

Below Deck Med Seasons 7 and 8

Kyle Viljoen is a controversial crew member who could probably return Below Deck franchise. During season 7, he left the charter season after suffering an injury. Despite a difficult first season, Kyle was invited back for season 8, where he served as the catalyst for conflict. It sparked the feud between Tumi Mhlongo and Natalya Scudder gossiping with each other about each other. Before meeting Natalya, Kyle had warned Tumi about his friend’s behavior, which had left a bad taste in the Head Stew’s mouth. If he had stayed out of their professional relationship, they might have gotten along.

If Tumi and Natalya had been on good terms during season 8, the season would have been more fun to watch. Instead, Kyle had to create drama among the crew. Below Deck Med Season 8 wasn’t great and none of the cast was asked to return for season 9. Despite his tendency to stir up drama, Kyle was asked to return after season 7 and It was presented on Jail Talkimplying that he is on good terms with the production. It’s only a matter of time before they bring Kyle back and redeem him with the public.

6 Elizabeth Frankini

Below Deck Season 8

Elizabeth Frankini Deserves a Second Chance Below Deck. She joined in season eight as one of Francesca Rubi’s brides. Although hopes were high that Elizabeth would be a positive new addition to the franchise, she quickly proved otherwise. She didn’t listen to head bride Francesca’s orders and broke many rules on board. Elizabeth knew she wasn’t on her best behavior, but she didn’t pay attention to her superiors. She was eventually fired, although she blamed everyone else for her firing. Elizabeth apparently still works in the yachting industry and He’s had years to grow up since his time in season eight.

5 Mads Herrera

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4

Mads Herrera was the breakout star of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4, and it would have been an incredible decision to invite her to Below Deck Med. She joined Parsifal III as one of Daisy Kelliher’s maids and He quickly won over the public with his lively and adventurous personality. Mads learned a lot during her time on the show, but she also got sucked into the drama because of her relationship with Gary King. She made it clear that she didn’t want to date the First Officer, even though he thought he could force her into a relationship.

When Mads reminded Gary that they were just dating, he got angry. He was rude to her and treated her horribly. Thanks to his unfortunate relationship with the boat, Mads has become a fan favorite for sticking to her limits. and not submit to Gary’s demands. Let’s hope he comes back to Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, but the franchise needs to live up to its potential and should have seen her transition to a Mediterranean-set show.

4 Alissa Humber

Below Deck Season 10

Alissa Humber’s Time on Below Deck Season 10 was marred by her feud with Camille Lamb. Her season was a hectic time on the show, and the stew found herself embroiled in a conflict with the stew/cabin boy. Alissa and Camille argued throughout the charter season, which took a toll on the camaraderie of the house department and the crew in general. When Camille was fired, it relieved Alissa, although she was also later asked to leave when Captain Sandy Yawn thought she was being disrespectful. With Camille likely never returning to the franchise, the stew could thrive and repair his relationship with Captain Sandy ON Below Deck Med.

3 Josiah Carter

Below Deck Season 6

Josiah Carter was a beloved stew during his time on Below Deck. He formed a close relationship with Kate Chastain and became a fan favorite in part for his hilarious confessional interviews. After season six, he was set to replace Elizabeth after she was fired in season eight. However, the charter season ended early when the final two charter guests canceled their trips due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Josiah couldn’t wait to return to the franchise in season eight, and was supposed to make his return with Below Deck Med season 9.

2 Easter Barbie

Below Deck Season 11

Barbie Pascual has had a mixed bag during her time on Below Deck season 11. She clashed with Chief Stew Fraser quite a bit throughout the season. They had similar personalities that didn’t mesh. Barbie admitted that she had never introduced herself to a Head Chef before season 11, which was seen in her hesitation to take orders from Fraser. Their conflict came to a head during a crew day off, when they got into a drunken fight. The Head Chef went to Captain Kerry Titheradge and asked if she could be fired, but she ultimately stayed on until the end of the season.

Captain Kerry encouraged Fraser to fix his problem with Barbie because she was a good stew. After their conversation, they had a heart-to-heart and treated each other with much more respect. Outside of her busy schedule, Barbie had some drama on her sailboat with Kyle Stillie. She was afraid of embarrassing her father by hooking up with the sailor during filming, but she did it anyway. Barbie dramatically left the superyacht during the crew’s last night, and could have had her chance at redemption within the franchise in Below Deck Med season 9.

1 Natalia Scudder

Below Deck Med Seasons 7 and 8

Natalya Scudder probably wasn’t invited back to Below Deck Med season 9 due to her feud with Tumi Mhlongo in season 8. Although she made her debut in the franchise in season 7, the Stew will be remembered for the drama that erupted in season eight. At the start of the charter season, Tumi was absent and Natalya took over his role as Head Chef. Before they met, Kyle infiltrated their relationship and warned them about each other. When Tumi finally arrived at the superyacht, she had a tainted vision of Natalya and they immediately began arguing.

After their first meeting, they were at odds with each other. Kyle created drama by gossiping with them about each other. Natalya took her frustrations with Tumi’s leadership tactics to the other crew members, and she always found out what her stew was saying about her. They couldn’t get on the same page and were constantly arguing. Instead of putting their drama aside, Tumi and Natalya’s conflict made season eight difficult viewing. It could have she redeemed herself by arriving later in season 9 of the charter season and not get involved in drama.

Below Deck could have hired a former student of the franchise to complete Aesha’s team of stews Below Deck Med season 9. New yachties like Mads or Xandi could have energized the series, while seasoned alumni like Kyle or Natlaya would have been shocking casting decisions. All in all, they decided to welcome a new stove Carrie, who will probably do well on the show.
