Hyatt’s highly anticipated redesign is expected to debut later this year in one of Arizona’s hottest destinations.

The Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort, the result of a $115 million renovation of the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, will open its revamped doors this fall. The property, which will be Grand Hyatt’s first outpost in Arizona, will feature 496 guest rooms, as well as private casitas and suites. But the crowning glory will be the Gainey House, a 2,450-square-foot, two-story private residence with a fully equipped chef’s kitchen and two bedrooms.

Hyatt’s rebranding will also include six new dining concepts developed in partnership with celebrity chef Richard Blais. The 10-acre pool complex features 10 pools, a sandy beach, and a three-story water slide. Those seeking serenity can unwind in the spa with a whirlpool or visit the resort’s Spa Avania, which features 19 treatment rooms and a Himalayan salt room.

Outdoor enthusiasts will have plenty to do at the resort, which is set against the surrounding Sonoran Desert landscape. Jogging and biking trails abound throughout the property, and guests can use complimentary bicycles while staying at the hotel. Golfers can visit the nearby Gainey Ranch Golf Club, and there are also tennis and pickleball courts. While you can still check into the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale while renovations are being completed in the coming weeks, the Grand Hyatt amenities will officially begin to debut in early October.

The resort strengthens Hyatt’s presence in Scottsdale, which also includes the Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows.

Those looking to use their World of Hyatt points at the new Grand Hyatt will be happy to learn that later this year, this Category 6 property will offer extended off-season availability, meaning award night redemptions will start at 21,000 World of Hyatt points.
