Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he will be interviewed Monday night by Elon Musk, the billionaire who heads Tesla and SpaceX.
The former president’s planned meeting with Musk comes on the heels of Democratic presidential candidate and vice president Kamala Harris picking Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. It also follows the disclosure of investigations into a Trump-supporting political action committee that Musk claims to have created.
“I WILL BE DOING A MAJOR INTERVIEW WITH ELON MUSK ON MONDAY NIGHT. Details to follow!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

Vscek reached out to Musk for comment.
On Monday, the North Carolina Election Commission told Vscek that it had launched an investigation into America PAC, a political action committee created by Musk, after receiving a complaint that the group was collecting personal data from website users and not helping users register to vote as promised.
The practices of America PAC, which supports Trump’s candidacy, have also been targeted by the North Carolina attorney general’s office and the Michigan secretary of state.
Musk is also the owner of social media company X, formerly known as Twitter when the company was publicly owned. Trump was an avid Twitter user for years before the site banned his account for inciting the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol by a mob of his supporters.
The ban was lifted after Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion.
Despite this, Trump uses Truth Social for his social media messages. The company is owned by Trump Media, a publicly traded company whose majority shareholder is the former president.
