NellyAn arrest at a Missouri casino didn’t stop him from cashing in on his big slots win… we’re told the rapper walked away with a nice sum of cash.
The killer’s lawyer, by Scott Rosenblumtells Vscek … his client actually cashed in on a $50,000 jackpot on a slot machine Wednesday morning at the Hollywood Casino in St. Charles, Missouri. That’s the good news to go along with Nelly’s bad news: As we reported, the win landed him in custody on an active warrant.
Sources familiar with the situation told Vscek… Nelly initially thought the arrest was a prank or a joke, as he was collecting his winnings when a background check revealed an open arrest warrant.
We’re told Nelly was first handcuffed to a chair… with one hand free to collect the rest of the money.
After collecting all the money, we were told that the policemen handcuffed both of Nelly’s wrists and led him away through the casino.
Nelly’s attorney claims that an arresting officer told his client that background check required before giving him the money.
The rapper insists he has previously won larger amounts at the same casino without having done a background check. During that background check, an active warrant for a previous traffic stop was discovered… prompting the arresting officer to search his belongings, where they say they found ecstasy.
Nelly’s lawyer tells us that prosecutors have yet to charge the rapper with drug possession… and now he wants the arresting officer investigated, claiming Nelly was searched without probable cause.
Bad luck with the law, but man… looks like Nelly’s fixing some loose slots.
