Taylor Swift Concert Terror Attack Plot: Police Describe Suspect’s Plan

Authorities have more information about the terrorist attack plot that led to the cancellation of the taylor swiftVienna concerts.

A day after authorities arrested a 19-year-old on suspicion of plotting attacks on major events in Vienna, Austria, including Swift’s three-night tour, authorities said the suspect has confessed to additional details about the plot; and authorities have uncovered additional information about other suspects.

Officials said in an Aug. 8 news conference that the man, identified as the primary suspect, confessed to planning to kill himself and a “large number” of others with knives and explosive devices.

Head of the Directorate for State Security and Intelligence of Austria Omar Haijawi Pirchner He explained at the conference, NBC News reported, that the suspect, originally from Austria but with roots in North Macedonia, had downloaded bomb-making manuals.

Authorities were also able to determine that the tools in the prime suspect’s apartment included hydrogen peroxide, homemade explosives, detonators and detonator cords. Haijawi-Pirchner noted that the explosives had already been assembled.

And they expressed relief that they had managed to stop the attack.
