Star Wars unveiled its first trailer at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, offering a new look at LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – an upcoming TV miniseries that will see the return of Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker. The LEGO series in four episodes Star Wars The TV series, premiering on September 13, will see nerf-herder Sig Greebling (Gaten Matarazzo) accidentally break the Star Wars galaxy, creating a chaotic kind of multiversal event. Sig will have to work together with other unlikely Star Wars heroes to clean up his mess, one of whom is Hamill’s Luke Skywalker.

Over the next few years, there will be several exciting Star Wars TV series, both live-action and animated, available on Disney+.


The trailer for Rebuild the Galaxyas shared by Star Warsgives Luke his own exposure as well as a host of other fascinating moments. There’s no end to the range of crazy combinations that occur in this new galaxy: Ewok bounty hunters, Mon Calamari/Admiral Ackbar clone troopers, and even a “dark” Millennium Falcon piloted by none other than Darth Jar Jar himself. Hamill’s Luke Skywalker is a low-key beach bum in this version of the galaxy who doesn’t like to hear what his story is supposed to be.

Star Wars also announced additional cast members alongside Matarazzo and Hamill, including the return of more familiar characters Star Wars actors.

Hamill’s return is extremely exciting, but that’s not the only noteworthy event. Star Wars return. Ahmed Best to reprise his role as Jar Jar Binksand this time, it’s to give life to a popular fan theory. The Darth Jar Jar theory is one of the Star Wars fandom favorites, and Rebuild the Galaxy is finally about to offer Star Wars viewers their first real look at this iconic fan-created villain. Having Best return as the voice of Jar Jar only makes it even more special.

Star Wars didn’t stop there with her Darth Jar Jar, however. In addition to the trailer, Star Wars has released a collection of icons Star Wars movie posters recreated with different characters based on their role in Rebuild the Galaxyone of which is centered on Jar Jar. It takes the notable Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace poster depicting Jake Lloyd’s young Anakin Skywalker standing next to Darth Vader’s shadow and putting Jar Jar in his place, hilariously but faithfully recreating the memorable poster.


While LEGO Star Wars it’s not technically canonical, This TV series will be a fun look at the “what ifs” of the Star Wars galaxysomething that many viewers have been asking for for a long time. Darth Jar Jar is definitely one of the biggest “what-ifs” that audiences have always wanted to see, and the trailer promises another popular one that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hinted at: Darth Rey. Viewers can probably expect to see many more surprises in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxywhich will debut in just under a month on Disney+.
