Incredibles 3 would have been a big risk without Brad Bird

Bird has the chance to make one of the best animated trilogies of all time

If The Incredibles will make a big comeback in the 2020s, it needs to have just as much of an impact as the previous two installments. The box office should hold up well based on the huge appeal of the franchise name alone, since The Incredibles 1 and 2 earned a combined $1.8 billionHowever, if Incredibles 3 drops significantly in quality, then Pixar will have used up one of its most valuable assets. Bringing Bird on board was the only way to ensure The Incredibles 3 could extend the franchise and make it one of the greatest of all time, rather than deflate it. Plus, Bird deserves his chance to complete the trilogy, which he has now done.
