WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Canadian singer Celine Dion said on Saturday that the use of her movie “Titanic” theme song, “My Heart Will Go On,” at a rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Montana the night before was unauthorized.

The song and its accompanying music video played on a big screen near the stage at the former U.S. president’s rally in Bozeman, Montana, on Friday.

“This use is in no way authorized and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use,” the singer’s social media account read, adding: “Really, that song?”

Dion, a five-time Grammy winner, is best known for that song. She reportedly refused to perform at Trump’s inauguration in January 2017, when the former president took office after winning the 2016 election.

Trump held the rally Friday to endorse a Republican Senate candidate. In it, he attacked Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on personal terms, criticizing her for failing to give interviews or hold major press conferences since taking office after President Joe Biden ended his reelection campaign.
