Ben Stokes was carried off injured during The Hundred after retiring while batting for Northern Superchargers against Manchester Originals.
Stokes held the back of his hamstring before being substituted, an image England fans will not want to see just 10 days before the start of the Test series against Sri Lanka.
Superchargers captain Harry Brook took to the field to replace the England Test skipper.
It looks set to be the latest injury for Stokes, following long-standing knee problems and a hip problem.
