Miguel had a mental breakdown, which saved him from elimination
During the season premiere of Claim to fame Season 3, Miguel revealed his two truths and one lie: his famous relative is an actor, he won an Oscar and he was his grandfather — the latter is obviously a lie. Miguel also confessed in a confession that he used a fake name to sound more Spanish than he actually was. The season premiere saw the contestants show off their talents in the usual talent show. The other contestants gave promising performances, but Miguel botched it when he attempted to recite a poem while holding a volleyball. This stage fright, however, was not fake, as he revealed in an interview with Weekly show.
He found himself in the bottom two and was on the verge of elimination when he resorted to a nervous breakdown in the bathroom away from the cameras cleverly leaving the microphone on. Miguel was later found in the bathroom by another contestant Adamto whom he told how he had a difficult childhood and how his famous relative stepped up to help him during that time. He continued to look shaken and innocent as he ran around the house convincing the contestants to choose White on him. This played in his favor since Bianca was chosen as a voter with only one difference in votes opposite Shane. Bianca, the granddaughter of Good morning America anchor Robin Robertshe guessed Shane incorrectly, and this ultimately led to his elimination.
Miguel has teamed up with an ally for the ultimate deception
Now, as an audience, it is difficult to say whether Miguel’s mental breakdown was genuine or a ploy to avoid the risk of elimination. However, in an exclusive interview with PeopleHe spoke openly about how He came into play with the strategy of presenting himself as a “person from whom you would expect the least”, and he also explained how he likes it when people underestimate him. Well, he definitely surprised people in the end, that’s for sure! In the second episode, he teamed up with another contestant Saidand nicknamed themselves “Wolfpack” as they proceeded to spread the narrative that Miguel is related to Antonio BanderasInterestingly, Miguel revealed that he had never seen him in a movie before.
It was announced that there would be a double elimination, where two players would be forced to guess the name of a famous relative of the other. Elisawho later turned out to be the granddaughter of John Stamosspeculated that Miguel’s relative was Banderas, which was false. After the revelation, a video was played showing the dynamic duo planning the ruse in which Dedrick went around saying that he saw Miguel having a conversation with himself in which he revealed the name of his celebrity The Mask of Zorro actorThe video labeled “one day before” showed the two men sitting at the dining room table as they formulated and executed their plan.

Miguel risks elimination at the hands of Dedrick
Episode 3 saw Miguel turn against his ally Dedrick when he chose to guess his famous relative in a guessing game. This was a shocking and risky move, which wasn’t too surprising considering Miguel’s strategic planning throughout the season. However, this backfired on him as he mistakenly thought that Dedrick’s famous relative was Little Richard. Miguel was eliminated, but in the same interview with Peoplerevealed that he and the fellow Wolfpack member were on good terms as they had “talked about it” in private.
It later turned out that Miguel was the son of Jamie Lee Curtis’s half-sister, Allegra Curtis. In the interview, Miguel revealed how his hunger for “having something to prove” kept him motivated on the hit show, while wreaking havoc at every turn. As he reflected on his experience, it was also revealed that his claims during his breakdown in episode 1 weren’t all false. His mother had been going through a difficult family crisis and his aunt, Jamie Lee Curtis, had helped him through that difficult time. He also teased that there are many “twists and turns” in the season finale where even eliminated contestants are set to return. But it’s safe to say the youngster has done a pretty mean feat with his limited time on the popular reality show.
