Borderlands Producer Randy Pitchford has addressed a viral crew member’s blunder in the video game adaptation, revealing the true purpose behind what happened in the film. Borderlands The film is receiving negative reviews from both critics and audiences, with many pointing out flaws such as a lack of character development and a story that doesn’t seem fully fleshed out. A minor criticism is a scene in which a group of characters open a safe, with a member of the film crew seemingly being the one to lift it.

However, Pitchford, who is also the creator of the Borderlands of the video game series, revealed that the hands actually belong to a character cut from the final film.


In his post, the producer explains how the hands were supposed to belong to Brick, the Berserker-class character from the original game. He also expresses happiness that someone noticed the hands, which indicates that there were bigger plans for the film than what was seen on screen.
