Tom Daley Tearfully Announces Retirement After 2024 Olympics

“I like to think they’re really proud of me,” he said of Robbie and Phoenix, adding of his team back home, “The support I’ve had from Britain has been so incredible. Thank you to everyone who’s been there for me through it all. I guess it’s the end of an era, but I can look back on my 23 years and be really proud.”

In a separate interview he did with Rowing In anticipation of his retirement announcement, released alongside his public confirmation, Tom has shared a sneak peek at what his next chapter might include.

“I signed up for a class, a class at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, to learn how to sew,” she explained to the outlet. “I knit and crochet, but sewing will add a whole other level of knowledge about how to construct things. I actually designed a couple of underwear pieces that I’m going to launch, and then I’m also hoping to launch a swimwear project next year.”
