Adam Idah transfer news: Celtic agree £9.5m deal to sign Norwich striker | Football News

Celtic have agreed a deal worth up to £9.5m for Norwich City striker Adam Idah.

It is believed the initial fee will be £8.5m, with add-ons worth £1m, as Idah is keen to return to Celtic and is prepared to agree the terms of a long-term contract.

Norwich also included a 15% sell-back clause in the deal.

The Scottish Premiership champions had an initial offer of £4m rejected in July, but a new and improved offer, believed to be in excess of £6m plus additional costs, led to talks between the clubs resuming last week.

Brighton are also in talks with the Scottish Premiership champions over O’Riley, with Chelsea also among the clubs interested.

O’Riley, who scored 19 goals and provided 18 assists in 49 appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side last season, provided the assist for Celtic’s second goal in their 4-0 win over Kilmarnock in their Scottish Premiership opener last weekend.

The 23-year-old has a contract with Celtic until 2027, after the club rejected a £20m offer from Atletico Madrid in January.
