Ellen DeGeneres Sells Her Massive California Mansion for $96 Million

Ellen DeGeneres He’s probably laughing all the way to the bank after selling his vast California estate for an exorbitant sum.

According to the property records … obtained from the Wall Street Journal …the television personality and his wife, Portia de Rossisold their 10-acre estate in Santa Barbara County for a whopping $96 million.

The couple purchased the home for $70 million in 2022 and reportedly sold it to the mining magnate Roberto Fridland.

The entrepreneur is ready to call the Tuscan-style villa in Carpinteria home… which boasts 9,000 square feet of living space, 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, hardwood floors, stone arches, walk-in closets, private beach access and other luxury amenities.

We don’t know how much money Ellen has invested in the home since she bought it, but the $96 million price tag likely means she’s making a nice profit, which she’s already investing in a new property.

Ellen and Robert have done a bit of a house swap… according to the WSJ, she’s buying back a Santa Barbara home she previously sold to him earlier this year. She reportedly paid $32 million for the home, which was built in 1919 and sits on 8 acres.

Ellen and Portia must have big plans for the property… they even purchased a 3-acre plot next door for $6 million, so we expect a major renovation of their home in the future.
