50 cents is getting praise from the Shreveport police chief for putting on an epic, crime-free music and comedy festival… especially considering the city’s backdrop.
50 guests Dave Chappelle, Kat Williams, our mentor, Andrea Schultz, Matt Rife, Bill Bellamy and other comedians for the 4-day event “Humor & Harmony” that started last Thursday. They performed DaBaby, Master P, A dance, Moneybagg Yo, Long muni and himself 50, among many others.
Shreveport has had more than its fair share of crime problems, so cops were prepared for any incident given the huge crowds that showed up to the festival. In the end, there wasn’t a single problem, and officers were more than grateful to 50, who helped ensure safety.
Shreveport Police Chief Mr. Wayne Smith tells Vscek that 50 and his team were instrumental in keeping the event safe with good planning, resources and masterful execution. The Chief added, “I haven’t seen this kind of positive activity downtown since the late ’80s!”
After the festival concluded, the chief called 50 people to express his gratitude.
The event, which featured a celebrity basketball game, a car show, and a Vegas Sphere-esque G-Zone, was entirely for charity. 100% of the proceeds went to the G-Unity Foundation.
