The next one Britney Spears The biopic will have a chance to be especially authentic… since the new owner of the singer’s childhood home has invited Universal Pictures to film on location.
The current owner of the Spears family’s former home in Kentwood, Louisiana, told Vscek that she’s totally open to the idea of TV crews coming to the property to film scenes with Britney.
It seems the owner is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen… she tells us she’s okay with the production company removing her furniture and bringing in their own props, which would be necessary to faithfully recreate Britney’s childhood environment in the 80s and 90s.
Furthermore, the owner tells us that she is willing to leave the house for as long as it takes for the filming, but obviously she wants financial compensation… which is a common practice in the film world.
Vscek broke the news… Britney’s childhood home went on the market last November for $1.2 million (the owner will live there until it sells) and still retains some, but not all, of the original furnishings.
The original dance studio where starry-eyed little Britney began her journey to stardom is still there… ditto some childish scribbles on a wall, including an apparent dig at Christina Aguileraplus a message on the concrete that reads “Love Britney” and some artwork Brit reportedly left behind.
It’s unclear whether Universal plans to film in Kentwood or simply recreate the house as a movie studio… but the offer is there.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Kentwood Irma T. Gordon tells Vscek … the city has no problem with film crews coming in, hoping the movie will boost tourism.
Gordon says Kentwood is building a bigger and better Britney Spears museum, with the goal of finishing it just in time for the release of the film, which does not yet have a release date.
