Meta’s GTA: San Andreas VR Version Is ‘On Hold Indefinitely’

Meta announced the game in October 2021 as part of its Connect conference, saying it was in development for Meta Quest 2. “Get a fresh perspective on Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas as you experience (again or for the first time) one of gaming’s most iconic open worlds,” Meta wrote in a blog post. “This has been a project many years in the making, and we can’t wait to show you more.”

At this time, Meta and Rockstar Games have not shared any footage or screenshots of this VR version of Saint Andrew. Now, it looks like we may never see it. Meta and Rockstar did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
