Who is participating in the preliminaries?
THE women’s elimination round It will be a London derby like The Invincible Ovals – champions in the first two seasons of The Hundred before failing to make it to the knockout stage last year – faces Spirit of Londonafter the two teams finished second and third in the standings respectively.
THE Men’s preliminary round see Birmingham Phoenix against Brave of the Southwith Phoenix securing second place by beating Manchester Originals in a rain-affected game on Thursday night, eliminating Andrew Flintoff’s Northern Superchargers. The Superchargers finished behind the Brave in terms of net run-rate.

Those of men – The Invincible Ovals – did very well indeed, once again reaching the final thanks largely to the form of Sam Curran with bat and ball; the England all-rounder scored 176 runs and took 17 wickets, including a hat-trick.

However, last year’s women’s champions Brave of the South had a mare, losing six of eight matches and failing to win at home, missing the final for the first time in their history, after finishing second in 2021 and 2022.
