The season finale of Chicago Police Season 11 revealed a surprise cameo that harks back to the series’ unfortunate start to its decline. Chicago Police is an exciting procedural police show that is part of the series One Chicago universe and is led by Sergeant Hank Voight as he and his team investigate Chicago’s most serious crimes. The season 11 finale continued Chicago PoliceThe tendency to surprise the characters comes out with the Hailey Upton’s departureBesides that, it also reminded me of a more painful memory from the early seasons of the series.
Chicago Police is also known for the strong interpersonal relationships between the members of Voight’s team. The exits of the show’s characters are made more painful by the knowledge of the team’s dynamics after each defeat. The friendships portrayed in the procedural underscore the loyalty that is inherent in Voight’s team, and the cameo in Chicago Police the season eleven finale serves to remind us of that.

Olinsky and Voight are the best relationship in the Chicago Police Department
Olinsky and Voight’s loyalty to each other was unmatched.
Chicago Police has featured several surprising relationships on screen, but Alvin Olinsky and Voight had the best relationship on the show. Olinsky’s loyalty went so far as to take the fall for the murder of Voight’s son’s killer. When Voight carried out his revenge, it seemed like he would get away with it, but due to a complication in the case, Olinsky instead became a suspect. He was so confident in taking the fall for his friend’s crime that he even told Voight, “I understand,” in a depressing final sentence.
Unfortunately, Olinsky did not make it out alive, despite Voight’s attempts to free him as soon as possible. This led to Olinsky’s death, which became one of, if not Chicago Policethe most shocking deaths. Somehow, Olinsky’s death also began the show’s decline.. After his passing, the best relationship on the show ended and was never repeated. Voight was never the same, especially since his friend’s family blamed him for the loss. Olinsky’s death was made even worse by knowing he was innocent all along and was serving his sentence to spare his friend.
Chicago PD Season 11 Finale Highlights Impact of Olinsky’s Death on Voight
Olinsky is both a source of pain and strength for Voight.
When Olinsky appeared as a cameo in the Chicago Police Season 11 finale, six years after his death, only proved how much his death had an impact on Voight. Olinsky returned as a hallucination as Voight was struggling to stay alive after being tortured by a serial killer. The head of Intelligence told Olinsky he was ready to go, but Olinsky told Voight that it wasn’t his time yetThis gave Voight the strength to hold out a little longer until Upton could save him.
It was also revealed that Olinsky continues to be a source of comfort for Voight, as of all the people he could have dreamed of, he hallucinated his deceased best friend.
From the Chicago Police season 11 finale, it was clear that Voight still thought about Olinsky, as he dreamed of him in his delirious, suffering state. The weight of Olinsky’s death never left him. It was also revealed that Olinsky continues to be a source of comfort for Voight, as of all the people he could have dreamed of, he hallucinated his deceased best friend. Olinsky was the only one who could have given Voight the strength to stay alive.
