Halle Berry has reached a breaking point in her never-ending custody battle with her ex-husband Olivier Martinez …says their 10-year-old son is suffering greatly from the conflict and now wants sole legal custody.
According to new legal documents, obtained by Vscek, Halle claims that Olivier’s “disturbing and harmful behavior” has had a serious impact on their 10-year-old son. Maceo. In the documents she is very specific, essentially saying that the boy has serious behavioral and learning problems that Olivier refuses to address.
Halle says Olivier has been a major obstacle to getting help for Maceo, prioritizing soccer over school… and the boy is now falling behind. She says Olivier refused to get his son a tutor because it would interfere with soccer practice.
She says that when Olivier has Maceo for a long period of time, he comes back to her angry and combative. Halle claims that Olivier tells the boy about their conflicts about raising their children, giving him his interpretation and that this has taken its toll.
Halle admits she isn’t a perfect person, but when it comes to parenting she’s been exemplary. She says Olivier has been the complete opposite.
The couple currently has joint physical and legal custody, but Halle is now asking a judge for sole legal custody, arguing that it is the only way to get Maceo back on track. She wants the ability to make decisions about his education and therapy.
This custody war has been going on for years. The couple separated in 2015 after 2 years of marriage, but the divorce did not happen become definitive until last August. Their arguments were mostly about raising their children.
Halle says she has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to resolve their conflicts privately, but now has no choice but to go public by filing legal documents in court detailing the conflict with a family law judge.
