What happened on last week’s episode of “The Bachelorette”?
With hometowns coming up, last week’s episode found Jenn Tran in a tough spot, having to whittle down her number of suitors from seven to four. To help her better understand who she sees herself walking off the show with, the bachelor sat down with Lawson Charity (who hosted the previous season of the reality show) for advice. After that, Jenn went on a date with Markwhich followed a Evil theme. With former Bachelor students Margaret Kent AND actressJenn and Marcus were led down a yellow brick road, answering “oo” questions as they went. At the end of this magical experience, they received encouraging messages from loved ones and were given the chance to take a hot air balloon ride. Over dinner, the suitor opened up about his difficult upbringing, with him and his sister both living in foster care. Their candid interaction led Jenn to not only give him a rose, but also feel more secure in her bond with him before hometowns.
After her one-on-one meeting with Marcus, the girl went on a group date on a radio show together Spence, Safe, Devin, JonathanAND GreatTwith Bachelor graduates Jason AND Molly Mesnick joining for a special appearance. While most of the contestants took the opportunity to show their affection for Jenn, Sam wasn’t able to give her the validation she needed to make sure they had a future together. He even went on to say that he was considering joining the reality show after finding out that neither Maria nor Daisy would be the bachelorettes for season 21. After the awkward Q&A, Jenn decided not to hand out a rose for the group date.
The second one-on-one date was with Jeremy, who hadn’t had a chance to spend time with Jenn before. While their relationship isn’t as solid as the bonds she’s built with other suitors, the bachelorette feels comfortable in his company as they stroll through Pike Place Market. Over dinner, they had a helpful conversation about family and religion, ending their date with Jeremy accepting a rose. By the end of the episode, he, Devin, Marcus, and Jonathan are selected for their hometowns.
