The series was a spin-off of Anatomy of Grey and was part of the producer Shonda Rhimes‘ Shondaland shows, and the like Greyfollowed firefighters through their struggles both professionally and personally, from promotions at the fire station to breakups, marriages, and everything in between.

In addition to great episodes, Station 19 It also featured great characters, including some whose stories began on GreyBut regardless of their background, many of them had strong personalities, which made them interesting and enjoyable to watch, even if they weren’t always likeable.

10 Robert Sullivan

Robert Sullivan previously served as a battalion chief for the Seattle Fire Department. During his time Station 19worked as a lieutenant. He also struggled with drug addiction, which led to problems such as stealing drugs and blackmailing co-workers to cover it up, then overdosing on the job. He married Andy, although it was a short-lived affair, they divorced shortly thereafter due to a combination of factors, including Sullivan’s addiction.

Sullivan was often among the least-loved characters by fans, he has demonstrated poor judgment on multiple occasionsmade worse by his dependency and desire for power. He could also be arrogant. However, his colleagues supported him and, despite his flaws, believed that he was ultimately a good person and had taken steps to correct his mistakes and overcome his difficulties. He also proved to be a skilled firefighter who could do his job.

9 Pruitt Herrera

Michael Sandoval

Pruitt Herrera was the captain of Station 19 when the series began and Andy’s father. Pruitt battled cancer throughout the series and chose not to seek treatment when he returned. He died in season three after venting a roof to save his team members who were trapped in a warehouse fire that was running out of oxygen. Because he was retired at the time of his death, he was denied a firefighter funeral.

Pruitt was beloved by his colleagues, and especially his daughter; but that didn’t mean he wasn’t flawed. He could be stubborn, just like his daughter. However, he died a hero. His final moments were selfless but devastating, and a fitting send-off for the character. While his death was expected, the way it ultimately played out was not, and it had a major impact on the series, especially for Andy.

8 Ben Warren

Ben began his career as a surgical resident on Anatomy of Grey before becoming a firefighter at Station 19. He was married to Miranda Bailey on Grey’s, although they separated at some point, and after Dean’s death they adopted his daughter, Pru. At the end of the series, he returned to his previous career as a surgeon, creating the possibility for him to return to Greydespite making regular guest appearances on the show.

Ben was an interesting character and didn’t change much during the transition from Grey TO Station 19, although despite the career change, he was still very focused on his past as a surgeon, but his knowledge and experience were often useful during calls tooHe could be critical, especially of Sullivan, and had a bit of a hero complex.

7 Andy Herrera

Jaina Lee Ortiz

Andy Herrera was a lieutenant and the daughter of the late Captain of Station 19, Pruitt Herrera, and often found herself in his shadow, despite wanting to continue his legacy. At the beginning of the series, she was secretly dating Jack, and although he eventually proposed to her, she turned him down because she wasn’t ready for commitment. She was eventually promoted to Fire Chief and reunited with Jack.

Andy was a stubborn guy—essentially Station 19 Meredith Gray—but with a stubborn streak. And just like Meredith, Andy had to deal with a lot of hardships throughout the series. At times, she seemed a little too comfortable following in her father’s footsteps, but at the same time, her love for him was admirable. She was determined and driven, which ultimately paid off in the form of a promotion.

6 Principal Miller

Okieriete Onaodowan

Head of Station 19

Dean Miller decided to become a firefighter after saving the life of a co-worker while working a typical office job. During his time with Station 19, he launched the Crisis One program, which he intended to expand to Oakland. He had a young daughter, Pruitt, called Pru for short, with JJ Lau (Brenda’s Song). He died after being injured in an explosion in a crossover episode with Anatomy of Greyand Ben and Bailey (My life is beautiful) took Pru into custody.

Dean was a beloved character thanks to his big heart and charming personality.. He was a great friend to his colleagues and a loving father to Pru, which made his death even more devastating, and he was a brave firefighter, willing to risk his life to save others. However, he wasn’t perfect, he could be critical, and until the final episodes, he was selfish. His legacy was carried on through his program Crisis One.

5 Jack Gibson

Damon Grey

Jack of station 19

Jack Gibson worked as a firefighter at Station 19 until a head injury ended his career, at which point he began working as a dispatcher. As a child, Jack’s parents abandoned him and he spent his childhood in foster care. When the series began, he was in a relationship with Andy and later had an affair with Maya. He eventually returned in the series finale and expressed his desire to be with Andy.

Fans loved Jack and were sad to see him go; his presence was certainly felt, although he did return on a few occasions, most notably for the final. He was thoughtful and easy to like despite his many flaws.and was determined to save lives, even if it meant breaking some rules. He changed a lot over the course of the series, and his time in foster care had a major impact on his adult personality.

4 Travis Montgomery

Travis Montgomery was married and lost his husband, Michael (Jonathan Bennett), in a fire due to poor instructions from its captain before the start of the Station 19. She dated Eli, who was initially interested in Andy, and later bonded with Emmett. Travis was Vic’s best friend and joined her in the series finale when she moved to DC to take the Crisis One program national, despite initially refusing the request.

Although Travis didn’t get much development at first, he ended up becoming one of the most sympathetic characters on the show. He was a natural leader, and his dynamic with Vic was always fun to watch. But his grief for Michael affected a lot of his behavior, from being a strict rule follower to his messy relationships, he had a lot of work to do on himself before he was ready for anything serious.

3 Victoria “Vic” Hughes

She later dates Theo and struggles after their breakup. Her best friend was Travis. At the end of the series, she decides to leave the station to bring the Crisis One program, which Dean had launched before his death, to DC, and Travis joins her.

Vic was the youngest member of the crew, which means he often worked hard to prove his worth. He had a great sense of humor, as well as a tough and bold side. Like all the characters in Station 19, he had been through a lot and suffered heavy losses, which had an impact on his behavior. In particular, he interrupted a press conference to confront the mayor about budget cuts.

2 Carina DeLuca

Stefania Spampinato

Carina De Luca from Station 19

Carina DeLuca was first introduced as an obstetrician-gynecologist and sister of Andrew DeLuca on Anatomy of Grey. ON Station 19, began a relationship with Maya Bishop and eventually married and adopted a child with her after many ups and downs, including infidelity, breakups, and almost divorce. In the series finale, Carina discovers she is pregnant, after a long journey of trying to conceive. The end of Station 19 opened the possibility for Carina to return to Grey’s.

Carina’s transfer to Station 19 led to better character development, unlike Greywhere he was a somewhat one-dimensional character, used mainly for humor. On Station 19she became more rounded. Although she still had a combative side, she was caring but tough, and was very affectionate towards her family, especially Andrew and Maya, and was eager to start a family. But she could also be stubborn and impatient.

1 Bishop Maya

Danielle Savre

Maya Bishop of Station 19

Maya Bishop has started Station 19 as a lieutenant at the station and eventually rose to captain, a position she was determined to achieve. Growing up, her father was abusive, which led to a strained relationship with him as an adult, and before becoming a firefighter, she was an Olympic gold medalist. She had a brief fling with Jack before starting a relationship with fellow firefighter Carina, whom he eventually married and started a family with.

Maya was an interesting character, consistently cited as a fan favorite. He has experienced great growth throughout the series.as she overcame her difficult past and struggles with colleagues. And while she was intelligent, focused, and determined, she was far from perfect; she could be intense and take herself too seriously at times, and was quick to anger at times, qualities that made some people strongly dislike her.
