In a photo from the first day of school with his daughters Sailor Grace8, Atlee Bay7—which she shares with her ex-husband Dakota Meyer—Bristol said her 15-year-old son has returned to live in Alaska.
“This has been the hardest ‘first day of school’ ever, with one of the biggest pieces of my heart missing,” said the 33-year-old, who shares Tripp with her ex. Levi Johnstonshe wrote on Instagram on August 14. “Tripp decided to finish high school in Alaska to be closer to his dad and our entire family.”
Bristol added that his son’s passion for hunting and fishing prompted the decision.
“As hard as it was to accept his decision, it’s really not about what I want,” said the daughter of Todd-Palin AND My Life Is Beautiful, Sarah Palin … she said. “He’s almost 16 and his relationship with his dad is far more important than my selfish desire to have him with his mom forever! I still can’t talk about it without crying, but I’m selfishly praying for a quick year and an easy transition for all of us.”
