Celine Dionhe’s saying Donald Trump use of her songs will not continue… issuing a statement saying she did not authorize Trump to use “My Heart Will Go On” and questioning his choice of song.
The singer-songwriter’s management company released a statement just a few minutes ago… saying they discovered that DJT and his running mate JDVance They played a clip of Celine singing the “Titanic” theme at their rally in Montana.
They’re clarifying… Celine didn’t give them permission to air it and she’s not encouraging political candidates to use her song.
The statement ends with a question to the candidate… with the group wondering why Trump would use this particular song.
To be honest, it’s a pretty strange choice… and the addition of the video seems to make even less sense, but Trump is known for making some pretty eclectic choices with his pre-speech playlists.
People on social media noticed that she performed a song from “The Lion King” and some more conventional tunes… but as far as we know, the video was only of Celine.
While Trump inserts a famous person into his rally, even if it is not consensual… My life is beautiful AND Tim Walz they stay away from Hollywood.
We broke the story, the Harris/Walz campaign keeping your distance from celebrities for the DNC… while trying to avoid claims that the event is a “liberal Hollywood event.” That doesn’t mean there won’t be any celebrity appearances, just fewer, according to our sources.
So the Democrats are avoiding celebrities… and Donald Trump better avoid Celine, because it looks like she’s not kidding.
We reached out to Celine’s team to get more clarification on her statement… so far, no response.
