For her part, Kate shared a statement in 2023 after Collin hinted that she was the reason he was estranged from his siblings, including four of his fellow sextuplets, Alessio, Aden, Lea AND Joelas well as two 22-year-old twins Maddie AND Dear.
“I never wanted to have to do this, but I feel cornered and without a choice. As sad as it is to do this, I need to speak up now,” Kate wrote on Instagram on July 21. “My son Collin, who I love with all my heart, has had multiple psychiatric diagnoses over the years. For my safety, the safety of his siblings, and his well-being, he was admitted to a facility after years of outpatient care that proved insufficient for his needs.”
The former reality star continued: “All measures taken in our home have been expressly recommended by her pediatric psychiatrist and/or team of specialists and have been put in place to safeguard every member of our family.”
