Speaking on Toe2Toe, Johnny Fisher said that Daniel Dubois is the strongest fighter he has ever fought and admits it will be a close fight between him and Anthony Joshua.

The Londoner then regrouped to defeat Jarrell Miller and then won the interim IBF belt with a victory over Filip Hrgovic.

After beating Tyson Fury and claiming the undisputed title, Usyk agreed to a rematch and vacated the IBF title. This saw Dubois promoted to full world champion.

He believes that a victory over Joshua, a world-renowned heavyweight who has already been unified champion twice in the past, would legitimize his status as champion.

Promoter Frank Warren claims Daniel Dubois has a better recent record than Anthony Joshua ahead of their clash at Wembley.

“He’s the current IBF heavyweight champion of the world,” Charles added. “Every disappointment is also a blessing, the journey we planned for us, that’s how it was written. We’re here.

“All of that, whether it was the disappointment against Usyk, the fight with Miller, the fight with Hrgovic, has brought us to where we are today.

“What happened, happened. Although it was disappointing at first, in the end it was a happy ending that we are here today.”
