Anatomy of Grey season 21 has launched an entirely new character. The long-running medical drama follows the goings-on at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in Seattle, Washington and has featured a rotating cast of stars over the years, including Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh, Patrick Dempsey, Sara Ramirez, Chandra Wilson, and James Pickens Jr. The upcoming Anatomy of Grey Season 21 will feature Wilson, Pickens Jr. and more familiar faces, along with recently added cast members Niko Terho, Harry Shum Jr., Adelaide Kane and Alexis Floyd.
For Expiration, Michael Thomas Grant has been cast as new character James In Anatomy of Grey season 21. James is an openly gay Episcopal chaplain who will join the staff at Grey Sloan in the second episode of the new season. According to the character description, which was fleshed out after details emerged in early 2024, James, who is “open to love and taking great leaps of faith” – he is balanced and very good with younger patients, although it seems he will have to make some decisions regarding his personal life.
