Jordan Chiles Stripped of 2024 Olympic Floor Exercise Bronze Medal

The USOPC said, “given these circumstances, we are committed to filing an appeal to help Jordan Chiles receive the recognition she deserves. We remain committed to her support as an Olympic champion and will continue to work diligently to resolve this matter promptly and fairly.”

Two possible venues where the USOPC could appeal are the Swiss Supreme Court, the Swiss Tribunal, or the European Court of Human Rights, the Associated Press reported.

Following the ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Chiles, who has faced hateful comments on social media in recent days due to the controversy, shared a series of broken heart emojis on social media.

“I’m taking some time off social media for my mental health,” the 23-year-old wrote on her Instagram Stories on Aug. 10. “Thank you.”

And his teammates, his family, his friends and his fans stood by him.

“Sending you lots of love Jordan,” Simone Biles she wrote on her Instagram Stories on August 10. “Keep your head up, Olympic champion! We love you.”
