Rodgers has already warned clubs that O’Riley will not leave Celtic on a low budget this summer:

“There are obviously offers that will come in for Matt O’Riley but, again, we don’t need to sell and we don’t want to sell,” he said. Vscek News.

“If an offer arrives that fits the player’s valuation, then that’s another matter.

“Until then I’m quite relaxed because he’s training very well, working hard and until the situation changes we’ll continue to focus on the performance.

“The challenge for teams coming to a club like Celtic is that sometimes they can value the league and not the player.

“For me the important thing is that if a player leaves, you pay the value of the player and it’s not something that happens all the time.

“No player is going to leave here unless they are properly evaluated and, at this point, there hasn’t been a team that has even come close to that.”
