Being a mother does not mean throwing away Nelly Furtado worn out.
The “Promiscuous” singer recently opened up about her life with her three children: her 20-year-old daughter Nevis Gahuniawhich he shares with his ex Jasper Gahuniaas well as her 6-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son with her ex Big Pacioccone—and how his old hits first reached their ears.
“I would say when my music started trending on TikTok, my oldest daughter was only 16 or 17,” Nelly explained in an exclusive interview with E! News“I wasn’t really aware of it at the time because I was at home with the kids and stuff like that.”
Ultimately, Nelly’s eldest daughter helped her get her social media account off the ground. As the 45-year-old said, “She taught me how to make my first TikTok.” (For more on Nelly, tune in to E! News tomorrow, August 7th, at 11pm)
And since the social media app has helped introduce music to a younger audience beyond her own kids, Nelly even enlisted the help of her 20-year-old self when curating her next album. 7out September 20th.
