New ‘Penguin’ Images Introduce Gotham’s Infamous Crime Family

The first spin-off series set in Mattia ReevesThe Batman universe just got an exciting new look. The official Penguin X account has revealed four new photos from The penguinshowing four members of the Falcone crime family. The new images include looks at Christin Miliotiby Sofia Falcone, Michael Zegenby Alberto Falcone, Michael KellyJohnny Vitti, and James MadioIt’s Milo Grapa. The penguin is set after the events of The Batmanand sees Oswald Cobblepot, known as The Penguin, (Colin Farrell) attempt to take control of Gotham’s criminal underworld in the vein of Carmine Falcone (John Turturro) death. The first of eight episodes of The penguin will debut on Max on September 19 and will air one episode a week until the season finale on November 7.

Although Reeves is not writing or directing The penguinis involved in a production capacity to ensure the worldview he brought to life in The Batman remains intact in the HBO spin-off series. Craig Zobel will direct The penguinand is best known for his directorial work on the 2020 film The huntthe dark slasher horror starring My life is beautiful. Zobel also directed an episode of Western Worldand most recently directed all seven episodes of the HBO original series, Easttown Sea. Lauren LeFranc wrote the screenplay for The penguin and will serve as showrunner, and his most notable work has been on the Marvel Netflix show, Agents of SHIELDand also the Maddie Hasson-guided series Impulse.

Will Robert Pattinson’s Batman Appear in ‘The Penguin’?

From the moment in which The penguin the spin-off series was announced, the question on everyone’s mind was whether Robert PattinsonBatman would have a role in the series. While Batman has not yet been confirmed to appear in The penguinThe series’ chronology makes it impossible to rule it out. Batman does everything in the film to foil Penguin’s plan and shows that he will not stand by while Cobblepot wreaks havoc on the city for his own personal gain. With The penguin set after the events of The Batman and a Batman sequel is on the way, unless Bruce Wayne is on vacation, he is somewhere near Gotham City and will definitely be keeping an eye on all the criminal activity going on.
