Louis Rees-Zammit shrugged off concerns about a back injury to make his first home appearance for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The former Gloucester and Wales winger had been a doubt for the pre-season clash with the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium after missing mid-week training.
But he played a variety of different positions in his second Super Bowl appearance for the champion Lions, which the Lions won 24-23 on a final-minute field goal.
The 23-year-old, who is listed as a running back on the Chiefs’ website, has taken a kickoff and returned a Lions kickoff for 27 yards, in addition to playing on the punt return team and as a wide receiver.
After her first appearance at Arrowhead, Rees-Zammit told KSNT News: “I got to try [the atmosphere] a little bit today. I’m looking forward to playing another game here next week and then we’ll see what happens.
“I’m giving it my all. I’m training hard every day to show what I can do.
“The more reps I do, the better I get, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next week and obviously in the future.”

Former Welsh rugby player Rees-Zammit played four different positions in his debut for the Kansas City Chiefs!
The Chiefs’ final preseason game will be against the Chicago Bears next week, after which the roster will be announced.
In January, Rees-Zammit left rugby union to pursue a career in American football, signing a three-year deal with the Chiefs.
His goal is a spot on the Chiefs’ 53-man roster for the NFL season, which begins against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 6.
