Britain’s Noah Williams won the bronze medal in the men’s 10m platform final on the penultimate day of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 24-year-old staged a brilliant comeback, fighting for a podium spot towards the end of the competition.
Williams was fourth at the start of the fourth round, but excessive rotation dropped him to fifth.
However, he gave a brilliant response, obtaining scores of 93.60 and 94.35 in his last two dives to take the bronze.

Jokic leads Serbia to Olympic bronze
Nikola Jokic recorded the fifth triple-double in Olympic history as Serbia beat Germany 93-83 to win the men’s basketball bronze medal.
Jokic finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, helping Serbia capture its first medal since winning silver in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Serbia bounced back after nearly upsetting the defending four-time gold medalist USA in the semifinals.
Jokic joins Sasha Belov of the former Soviet Union, American LeBron James (twice) and Slovenia’s Luka Doncic as the only players to achieve an Olympic triple-double.
Paris Goes Crazy for Christiansen Muffins
The Norwegian swimmer, who went viral for his obsession with chocolate muffins in the Olympic village, is still pondering how to make the most of his newfound fame.
Henrik Christiansen, better known as “the muffin man,” is still amazed by the extent of his exponential growth in social media following over the course of these Games, since he began documenting his love for Paris’ “11 out of 10” sweets.
Four of her TikToks have more than 10 million views; her most popular video has nearly doubled that, at 17.8 million.
Christiansen, 27, said: “I think three weeks ago I had 3,000 followers on TikTok, now I’m almost at half a million. So it was unreal. You never think it’s going to happen. You see other people blowing up like that and then you think it’s never going to happen to you, but here I am.
“I think as professional athletes we are definitely in the entertainment industry, so we need to produce content through sports and also on social media. We need to produce content that other people want to watch.
“That’s how we make money, so if I can make more money doing my sport now and be able to continue doing it for a longer period of time, I’d love to. I’ll have to see. I haven’t gotten too deep into it at the moment, but hopefully I can make some money doing it.”
Vscek+ has officially launched and will be integrated into Sky TV, the NOW streaming service and the Vscek app, giving Vscek customers access to over 50% more live sport this year, at no extra cost.
