Serena Williams‘s adventures in Paris continue to be a source of drama.
After the tennis star shared that she and her family, including her daughters Olympia Ohanian6, and Adira Ohanian12 months, which she shares with her husband Alexis Ohanian—she was denied access to the Peninsula restaurant in Paris while she was in France for the 2024 Olympics, the restaurant responded to her claims, explaining the reasons behind the unfortunate incident.
“Please accept our deepest apologies for the disappointment you encountered tonight,” the hotel responded on August 10. “Unfortunately, our rooftop bar was indeed fully booked and the only free tables you saw were in our gourmet restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc, which was fully booked.”
They added: “We have always been honored to welcome you and always will be again.”
The apology comes after Serena reported the restaurant on X, claiming she and her family were not allowed to eat on the roof.
“Damn @peninsulaparis I was denied access to the rooftop to eat at an empty restaurant or nicer places but never with my kids,” she wrote. “It’s always a first. #Olympics2024.”
