Review: Citi Simplicity Credit Card

0% introductory annual percentage rate for 21 months on balance transfers: One of the longest introductory periods on balance transfers we’ve ever encountered: You’ll get a 0% introductory APR on your transferred balance for a whopping 21 months, meaning you’ll have nearly two years to pay off your balance.

0% introductory TAN for 12 months on purchases: You will also receive a 0% introductory APR on new purchases for the first 12 months. This is a useful benefit if you plan to buy something with the card.

Choose the payment due date: A little flexibility can make all the difference when it comes to managing your finances. The card lets you choose any available payment date, whether it’s the beginning, middle, or end of the month. This way, you can set up automatic payments that align with your paycheck.

No late payment penalties: One of the most unique benefits is that there are never any late fees. While you should always pay your bill on time, because late payments can still affect your credit, it’s nice to know that you won’t be charged if you mess up and miss a payment.

No TAN penalty: If you miss payments, most credit cards will increase your interest rate to their penalty APR. The Citi Simplicity® Card never charges a penalty rate, so your APR is never at risk of increasing due to late payments.

No annual fee: This card has no annual fee, which is an important feature if your goal is to pay off debt.
