San Diego Comic-Con got pretty rowdy… because Vscek obtained a log of police activity near the San Diego convention center last month, and it looks like officers had a lot on their plate.
According to the report… one person was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, five received tickets, and 12 other incidents have triggered ongoing criminal investigations… all of which we’re told were related to activity in and around Comic-Con.
The alleged violations are quite varied, but here’s the gist: Cops say people punched each other and stole whatever they could get their hands on.
There have been at least three cases of assault with a deadly weapon, including one that resulted in an arrest, which suggests that people may have gotten a little too caught up in the superhero vs. supervillain thing.
There have also been several reports of thefts and break-ins… all cases that a real-life Batman could have handled without a problem, but the costumed ones may not have been up to the task of fighting crime.
Police say some of the minor criminals in the rogues’ gallery double-parked, committed minor vandalism and drove without a license… so it looks like the police didn’t have to “Hulk” them, they just had to tell people to “stop, stop.”
Only one mental health incident was reported… police say one individual was placed under arrest under Code 5150.

Anti-human trafficking operation at Comic-Con leads to 14 arrests and 10 victims recovered
That’s not the only police activity at the convention. As we reported, a state task force arrested 14 people allegedly involved in sex trafficking the same weekend.
In any case, it seems that the police have everything under control and probably do not want the help of amateur vigilantes who make their own costumes.
