Alden Ehrenreich has expressed his willingness to return as Han Solo after Solo: A Star Wars Story under certain conditions, all highlighting why the film may not have performed well commercially. Although Star Wars‘the box office has always been impressive, Alone marked a change in this sense due to the film’s incredibly high budget, resulting from the numerous reshoots and rewrites that the production underwent. That said, star Alden Ehrenreich’s stance on Han Solo’s return is quite clear, as demonstrated during an interview with Enter Hollywood. At D23 2024, Ehrenreich made an appearance due to his upcoming role in Marvel Studios Heart of IronNaturally, the actor was asked about Han Solo, including whether he would be willing to return in the future despite the slim chances of Only 2 never happened. “Yes, maybe, if it’s the right version.
You know, he’s such a fun character, and the story I’ve done is kind of the creation of Han Solo. So I’ve been able to really be like the Han Solo that we know and love in the last part of the movie, and if that’s the right thing to do, it would be fun to play him and be the guy in that way.”

While Ehrenreich’s comments are promising, given that he was fantastic as Han Solo, his comments may have provided insight into why Solo: A Star Wars Story box office flop. As Ehrenreich rightly points out, his character was a different version of Han Solo for two-thirds of the film. It wasn’t until the final act that Ehrenreich truly began to embody the Han Solo fans know well, even though his previous performance had been fantastic.
