Brought to life by Eric Kripke, the hit Prime Video show is based on the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis. It explores the reality of a world filled with superheroes with concrete stakes, abject horror, and characters devoid of any semblance of morality. The boys Season five will mark the end of the series, but Ennis has been writing comics for decades and still has a lot to offer audiences.
The boys focuses on corrupt superheroes, while Ennis’ next on-screen story will feature regular people driven to depravity. According to a report by The Hollywood ReporterEnnis has agreed to work with production company Six Studios to develop a feature film adaptation of Crossed. The comic tells the story of an infection that forces victims to give in to their worst desires, often leading to devastating global catastrophes. Six Studios promises a faithful adaptation, and Ennis has signed on to serve as screenwriter.
