Shiba Inu marketing manager Lucie (@LucieSHIB) outlined the importance of the upcoming global conference ShibaCon in an X-rated article. Scheduled for November 9, 2024 in Bangkok, ShibaCon is set to mark a pivotal chapter in the SHIB ecosystem, attracting both long-time supporters and newcomers to the blockchain space.

In the article, Lucie laid out the many reasons why ShibaCon should be an event to mark on every blockchain enthusiast’s calendar. “ShibaCon is more than just an event; it is a pivotal moment in the Shiba Inu ecosystem and a must-attend for anyone involved in the blockchain space. If you are part of the Shib Army, this is your chance to connect, learn, and engage with the heart of the community,” she wrote.
Lucie highlighted the opportunity for businesses and projects to gain significant exposure. “ShibaCon offers a rare opportunity to position your brand in front of a highly engaged and passionate audience. The Shiba Inu community is one of the most vibrant and loyal in the cryptocurrency world, making this event a prime platform for visibility,” she added.
She also emphasized the conference’s role not only as a community gathering, but also as a hub for potential partnerships. Meanwhile, SpecialK, a moderator on Shibarium’s Discord and Telegram channels, provided further details on the event’s structure and goals. “ShibaCon, refers to a significant event in the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency community, specifically designed to bring together enthusiasts, developers, and supporters of the Shiba Inu ecosystem,” he said.
SpecialK emphasized the event’s community-based approach, with open invitations to speakers and sponsors aimed at reflecting SHIB’s decentralized ethos. ShibaCon 2024 aims to showcase technological advancements and discuss future plans for the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including developments like Shibarium.
The SHIB team member also noted the long roots of the idea for the event. “The idea for ShibaCon was first proposed by Ryoshi, one of the pseudonymous figures behind Shiba Inu, envisioning it as a series of local meetups that would culminate in an annual global event,” he noted.
The choice of Bangkok as the venue reflects a strategic decision to facilitate global participation, SpecialK explained. With Bangkok, the SHIB team is avoiding restrictive visa policies and making the event accessible to the widest possible audience.
Notably, the specific details of the sessions and keynotes are still being finalized. The agenda will include discussions on future technological advances, ecosystem development, and strategic planning for the Shiba Inu project. In addition, the talks aim to provide insights into the trajectory of Shiba Inu and partnerships to expand the SHIB ecosystem.
