Tom Cruise rappels and skydives for Olympic handover at 2028 Los Angeles Games

Well, we told you! Tom’s Cruise hosted the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, and it went exactly as we said it would! And it was pretty spectacular.

Tom appeared atop the Stade de France just as HIS he finished his stunning rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” and yes, he fell to the stadium floor as the fans went wild.

Tom approached the mayor of Los Angeles Karen Lowwho handed him the Olympic flag: Tom jumped on a motorcycle and drove the flag on the back out of the stadium.

He began shooting a video of Tom driving through the streets of Paris and then, aboard the helicopter, coming across what looked like a cargo plane.

Cut to the back door of the plane opening, and Tom fearlessly jumps out and free falls for about a minute before pulling the emergency cord. He lands safely, fiddles with some tools, and finally the camera pulls back and Tom finds himself on the Hollywood sign emblazoned with the Olympic rings. He then hands the flag to a cyclist, and the flag is passed to a series of athletes as they race around the City of Angels.

The video is over and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have started playing by the ocean to a group of crazy fans. If this is any indication, 2028 is going to be awesome.
