Usher said he hoped physical therapy and medical care would be enough to get him back on stage as soon as possible, but said the injury wasn’t healing fast enough and his doctors had told him not to perform.
As a result, Usher said he will postpone two more shows this week… Friday and Saturday in Atlanta… and reschedule them for December.
He was supposed to kick off his tour on Wednesday, but just hours before the show was due to start announced that he would pull the plug …saying he needed to let his body rest and heal.
The singer didn’t reveal his neck injury until Thursday… he says he has to be 100 percent in order to give fans “the excellence you’d expect from an Usher show.”
Usher said he hopes to start the tour Tuesday in Washington, D.C. … as long as he gets proper rest and treatment.
