For those wondering, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Virgin Red points are essentially the same, in that you can transfer them between the two programs. TPG’s August 2024 valuations put these points at 1.4 cents each, making them one of the most valuable airline currencies on the market.

In conclusion

Some details are yet to be seen, but the Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard looks like a solid value proposition if you travel frequently with Virgin and want a card to take advantage of that.

With healthy earnings rates and benefits, plus a unique perks choice system that can justify the annual card fee on its own, it promises to be a solid addition to the Virgin card lineup. If you’re interested in the Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard, be sure to join the waitlist.
