Manchester United have held initial talks with Monaco over the purchase of midfielder Youssouf Fofana, but Fulham are not expected to make another offer for Scott McTominay.
United have been weighing up terms of a deal for the 25-year-old France international, who has entered the final year of his contract.
Fofana has been at Monaco since 2020, having bought the shirt from Strasbourg, and has played 175 games, scoring seven goals.
