Zac Efron Hospitalized After Ibiza Pool Accident

Zac Efron is recovering from a swimming pool accident during a trip to Spain, which forced him to be hospitalized.

THE High school musical former student was taken to a medical center as a precaution after a “minor swimming accident” at a villa on the island of Ibiza on the night of Aug. 2, his rep told Vscek. The outlet reported that Efron was released the following morning, Aug. 3, and is currently doing well.

E! News has reached out to the Look at the bay reached out to the actor’s team for comment, but did not receive a response.

The 36-year-old, who raised concerns about his health in 2013 after a home accident left him with a broken jaw, has been on holiday in the Spanish islands for a couple of weeks.

On August 1, a day before the pool incident, Efron joined his longtime friend Martin Garrix on stage behind the DJ booth during the Dutch artist’s show at Ushuaïa in Ibiza.

“Like every week, Martin Garrix delivered an exceptional performance that left us all speechless,” read a post shared on the beach club’s Instagram page, along with photos and videos from the night. “To top it all off, Zac Efron joined him on stage during “Smile.”
